TEN-MINUTE
Table for One
It is closing night at a beloved neighborhood restaurant, permanently. The last customer, a woman who has eaten there every Friday for forty years, will not leave. She has nowhere she needs to be, and she has decided that, on its last night, the restaurant at least owes it to acknowledge what it meant. James, who grew up in this restaurant, is trying to close it. They talk all the way to midnight.
